HILLTOPS ARTS Incorporated


Hilltop Arts Inc. (previously known as Young District Arts Council) is a not-for-profit community organisation based in Young, NSW.


The HARTs committee is made up entirely of local volunteers, overseeing operations at the Southern Cross Cinema. An AGM is held every April to allow members to nominate a position on the committee.

In March 2004, Southern Cross Cinema opened its doors to the public, screening Lord of the Rings: Return of the King to an excited and sold out audience. HARTs had been working on the project since 2001.


HARTs has been responsible for many prominent art events over the years; including the Yfilm Festival, a short film festival for local film-makers, annual art and photography exhibitions, Pantomimes in conjunction with the Young Theatre Company, youth drama workshops, dance workshops (A-Live entertainment in 2013).
